I am unable to download the appropriate app onto my Mac to run Chromecast from my computer. As we predominantly use a MacBook Air. I felt I wasted my money again. Click the blue Download button to download the Chromecast dmg. Open up Chrome browser on the Mac and go to chromecast.com/setup. Install the Chromecast App in the normal way. Drag the Chromecast app to the Applications folder. Agree to the Privacy and Terms by clicking the Accept button. Agree to the Privacy and Terms. Previously, it was possible to Setup Chromecast on Mac by downloading the Chromecast App to computer and completing the entire setup process directly on a MacBook. However, Chromecast App is no longer available for download on Computers and currently the only way to Setup Chromecast Device is by downloading Google Home App on a Mobile Device. If you’ve visited a site that offers files for downloading, typically you just click the Download button or the download file link, and Safari takes care of the rest.
